NATO-supported conference at KJK

As the Faculty of Vehicle Engineering and Transportation Engineering (KJK), it was a great pleasure to organize the NATO-supported advanced course entitled “Capacity Building for a New Generation of Scientists in Energy Security and Climate Neutrality” in cooperation with of GTE (Scientific Association for Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Krisztina BARDOS- Managing Director of GTE) and National TU of Ukraine (Dr. Sergiї BOICHENKO and Dr. Anna YAKOVLIEVA) at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) in Hungary from 8 to October 16, 2024.

As part of this NATO-supported event, high-level tutorial courses were held at BME with the 49 distinguished keynote speakers from NATO and NATO Partner Countries, the European Commission, and International Aviation/Transportation Federations/Institutes (IFATCA- International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Associations, Lukasiewicz Institute of Aviation, IFAIMA – Int. Federation of Aeronautical Information Management Association, KTI- Hungarian Transport Institute, etc.), ranked universities from various countries (such as Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Vilnius Technical University, Kosice Technical University, National Technical University of Ukraine, Gazi University/Turkiye, Ostim Technical University/Turkiye, Aeromedical Institute Kecskemét, Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, Czech Technical University, Erciyes University/Turkiye, National Transport University/Ukraine, Piri Reis University/Turkiye,    providing the latest developments in NATO-relevant topics to an advanced audience, including NATO/NATO Partner researchers/members, pre- and post-doctoral level scientists, and early-stage researchers with relevant backgrounds in the subject matter of the proposed courses in 8 sessions:

Session 2: Cybersecurity and human dimensions in transport activities

Session 3: Energy Efficiency and UAV Applications

Session 4: Challenges in Human Factors, Environmental, Information and Data Security

Session 5: Hydrogen Energy and Sustainability

Session 6: Transportation Safety and Security

BME Vice-Rector for International Affairs – Dr. Andras NEMESLAKI, Vice-Dean of Transportation Engineering and Vehicle Engineering (KJK) Faculty- Dr. Adam TOROK, and NATO – Supported Event Chairman& NATO Country Principal Investigator – Dr. Utku KALE were delivered Welcome Speeches during the Opening Ceremony of this NATO-supported event on October 8, 2024.
